About us – A Word from our Chairperson
Encouraging Drivers of all ability
WMDG is a grass roots carriage driving group. Our aim is to encourage carriage driving in the area at all levels, from complete beginner to people with a lifetime’s experience. We hold a variety of different events through the year including:
• Driving trials • Treasure Hunts
• Training Days • Social Events
We are a friendly club that welcomes newcomers and are happy to help them through their first steps into carriage driving. Some of our members have gone on to compete at higher levels, but many are content to just get together with like-minded people and enjoy this highly sociable sport. You don’t need horses and carriages to get involved as we are always keen for new stewards and back-steppers.
