The season has kicked off with our first outdoor event – a training day – flatwork delivered by National Dressage Judge, Stuart Roberts and obstacles/cones by our own Ken Young, organised by Linda Wiggin. The maximum number of eight entries were received, with a waiting list. A great start to the season.

Young Alfie Foster along with Mom, Dad, Nan & granddad made the lengthy journey from Kettering in Northamptonshire. Congratulations to all our members who have qualified for the Indoor Championships at Keysoe. Good luck to you all.
Our First Event of the season is our training day on Easter Monday 22nd April at Solihull R.C.. Places are limited to please get your entries in early. Unfortunately we had to change the venue from Moore Farm at Corley due to building work about to commence on the indoor school. We will be outside so here’s hoping the weather will be
kind to us. Please park on the left hand side of the drive on the hard standing and not in the main car park. Thank you.
PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR PASSPORTS AND PROOF OF VACCINATION. You will be required to show them at the office in the light of the recent equine influenza outbreak.
1st Trials of the season is an Indoor/Outdoor again at Solihull R.C. on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May. Dressage test indoor precision & paces 2018/19. Entry forms on the website.
Congratulations to Sarah Bartlett and Waverhead Bomberdere on winning the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh prize for Driving awarded by the Fell Pony Society and Sponsored by the Duke of Edinburgh.
News from the Cappuccino camp is that “Cappa” has a new friend, nicknamed “the Thing” aka Greenholme George, Yes another Fell!. He was allegedly broken to ride and drive at 4 years but his education has been rather lacking in his life except for this bried interlude. He’s rising 7 years now. So he’s starting all over again. Hopefully we may see him before the end of the season.
NEXT SOCIAL will be a quiz nite with a supper at the Weavers Arms. Fillongley on Thursday 13th June, 7pm for 7.30pm. Organised by our Treasurer Jeanette Mills. So give her a ring to reserve your place 07540 341 626. Full menu will be available shortly.
