One-day Driving Trials

Test yourself against the clock

Throughout the summer, the club organises events designed to be fun and interesting, whilst providing those entering the sport with an opportunity to meet new friends and develop previously unknown skills

The Water Hazard

Wearing wellies can sometimes be advantageous

Splashing through water is always good fun - encouraging your pony to feel the same is sometimes a challenge!

Solid Obstacles

Man-made or sometimes trees and mounds

A Test of a pony's agility and the driver's navigation skills is negotiating a series of 'gates' A-F in alphabetical order, against the clock.

Training Clinics

with Professional Coaches

Popular Training Clinics provide members with the opportunity to gain expertise from well known national coaches. Whatever stage you're at, there's always something to learn and to enjoy

I've been a member of WMDG for many years during which time I've seen the sport change quite a lot. Safety has risen up the agenda as demanded by our insurers but still the sport continues to offer excitement and challenge with great social interaction. The club's affiliation to our governing body British Carriagedriving ensures that standards are maintained and our members are welcomed by other local clubs because they have demonstrated competency. Our new website, combined with BACS payments, is designed to provide members with paperless ease of entering events and helping provide WMDG with a bright future.
